Sorry about that. I looked at the example and didn't see anything that would work. That samples I have are very large. One reason why I need to make them smaller for easy viewing as well as editing. I am trying to resize .psd files. What I need is to either reduce the dpi to 72 or reduce the dimensions of it or both to make a smaller file. Smaller in megabytes that is. I have tried many different commands and options. for example, convert -resize 50% . I am getting odd results. The layers are ...

Geez I didn't think about in between the bars, which means I am between a rock and a hard place. Have too many to make a mask for each. Need to see how many are effected.

-strip is not going to work for me either. It removes the clipping path that I need to have included with the output file. arrg

Using -strip gives me the correct resolution. Now I need to constrain the proportions so that the demensions do no change. Trying to create a fpo for highrez replacement.

Convert 300 dpi image to 72 dpi but maintain original WxH
With the following comand I am trying to flatten a 300 dpi psd file and set resolution to 72 dpi.
-flatten -units pixelsperinch -density 72 filename.tif
I seem to be missing somethng but not sure what it is. I get a tif file ok but the size is still 300 dpi.

tif to eps conversion issues
I am trying to convert a rgb tiff with a clipping path to a EPS while still maintaining the clipping path. I can create the eps but it hangs Photoshop when I try to open it. I have read others with this issue but realy no fix.

resolution on png files
When I convert a 72 dpi tiff to png the dpi changes to 71.984. I can convert the same image to gif and the dpi stays at 72. Any idea why this is happening?
