Re: "Postscript Delegate Failed" when using Convert PDF
Reinstallation Fixed the Postscript Delegate Problem
The TIF viewing problem (viewing all 4 pages) was fixed by using an appropriate TIF viewer. If that wasn't the long way around, I don't know what was.

Re: "Postscript Delegate Failed" when using Convert PDF
Well....I've made progress. I am able to convert the image to tiff (all 4 pages) and view them in Ghostscript.
I can only VIEW the FIRST page in Image Magick AFTER it's converted. Before it's converted, I can view all four pages in Image Magick. Sow it's probably a TIF viewer issue.

"Postscript Delegate Failed" when using Convert PDF
I continue to have the delegate problem when converting to PDF even though I have installed a new operating system (Ubuntu 11), re-installed the newest (or one of the newest) IM versions(6.6.9-5), and Ghostscript 9. Here is the link to the problem I was having which led to this current problem ...

Yes, I thought about the Ghostscript and I'm going to just install a new OS. That should update Ghostscript at the same time.

@Wolfgang
Here you go!

These are not the real files, but files scanned using the same method. I put a password on them which is 12345, which I realize now is pointless.
@fmw42
Thanks for the tip, I'll try that!

Re: Batch Convert Multi-page PDF(s) to Multi-page Tiff(s)
I see what you are saying and I agree that updating my versionI is necessary at this point, and unless anyone has any suggestions about these libraries, I am going to have to wipe my whole computer and start over. The issue that Andrew raised is one of quality, I think if I understood him correctly ...

I understand what you are saying here, it can be put into a script to make it efficient.

Re: Batch Convert Multi-page PDF(s) to Multi-page Tiff(s)
hmmm.....the whole point of doing this was to reduce the amount of work. If I have to convert from PDF-->JPEG (Non IM)-->PDF---> TIF(IM) that is a whole lot more work than I had to begin with. These are text documents.... 10,000 of them or so, that need to be converted to TIF. I am beginning to ...

Missing libraries when installing newer version of IM
I am installing a newer version of ImageMagic on Linux but it is not working because it has missing or incorrect libraries. We are not able to compile this new version to make it run, perhaps because of the previously installed libraries. It is unclear how to correct this problem.

Re: Batch Convert Multi-page PDF(s) to Multi-page Tiff(s)
I don't think it's a memory issue, the PDF's I'm using have only 4 pages. I've switched to different PDF's and still having the same issue. I found the topic "possible bug converting acrobat pdf to other formats" in the list after searching for PDF Delegates....after reading through it sounds like ...

Re: Batch Convert Multi-page PDF(s) to Multi-page Tiff(s)
I tried Wolfgangs commands, and the problem we have with this is that it only converts the first page of the PDF. Pages 2-N do not get converted or even transferred. When I start with a 4 page PDF, the output is a 1 page TIF. This is what led us to adding the extra commands which does convert all of ...

Batch Convert Multi-page PDF(s) to Multi-page Tiff(s)
I have a collection of 10,000 or so PDF files that need to be converted to Multi-Page Tiff's. I would like to group the files and do this in chunks. At some point I would like to also do this on Windows, but at this point we are just working on Linux. Using ImageMagick 6.4.5 and 'Q' 16, and the ...
