Searched entire folder but could not find any file with name "configure". Can I download the latest IM version, extract this file and place it in somewhere to perform this step?

PS You have to cd to the IM source code download folder before you can run those commands from the terminal. If you do not have that any longer, then you need to download and install a newer version or if you can find an older version then you can use that if you want. Hello, So if we do not find ...
