Thanks for your reply, In photoshop I change the white-balance to flash to process the image, I as looking for IM equivalent. I;ll look into exiftool more.

For my small startup , i need to process 200-250 jewellery images every day. Its becoming very hard to remove background as we shoot these on a white background. Please pardon my ignorance but I assumed white masking would work here as well. Should I change parameters of this command.

Thanks you so much for your reply. The second command works for jewellery that is more of silver and gold and lacks other colors. For an image here the jewllery itself has some color, I am trying to use a different background and do a floodfill after reducing fuzz to 8 or 9% to avoid color going in ...

Thanks for all your help. Could finish quite a bit of it. Image which have pearls in them are new problem that I am struggling with . The fill white command write on pearls as well. Any help in this will be greatly appreciated.

All,
I have a image with has more of Golden hues . I wanted to change the background to white. Tried this , and background became all black
convert IM8.jpg -alpha set -channel RGBA -fuzz 1% -fill none -floodfill +0+0 white IM8_Flood.jpg
What am I missing?
