Re: Identify EXIF orientation wrong when EXIF thumbnail exis

Hi Jason, thanks for the example image. Good to know it's not just me! Hopefully this is something that the ImageMagick team can fix in a future release. Team IM: I do feel for you guys, it must be a nightmare trying to keep up with the crazy EXIF data that the camera manufacturers love to include ...

Identify EXIF orientation wrong when EXIF thumbnail exists

Hi, I think I've found a bug with "identify" I've noticed that for images without EXIF orientation information on the main image, but with EXIF orientation on the embeded thumbnail, "identify" picks up the thumbnail's orientation and returns it as if it was the orientation for the main image. I've ...

Re: resize / sample a very large image - out of memory / ram

Great, thanks for the link. I've had a look through and I think stream might be useful - it will let me extract chunks of the image to resize piece by piece and re-combine at the end. Fairly long winded, but I think it'll work even when both ram and disk space are low. I'm a little surprised that ...

Hi Loony, I've just tried your commands on Imagmagick 6.4.8-7 on XP SP3 and all worked fine.

Not hugely useful, but does narrow it down a little!

resize / sample a very large image - out of memory / ram

Hello all, I've searched around for a while but haven't yet found anything conclusively answering my question. If you know of a post /site where this has been answered already please do just send me there. I'm trying to resize very large images (uploaded to a website by professional photographers ...

Re: Missing fonts for PDF to JPG from command line

Ah! How interesting! Some PDF's do convert, for instance I've just tried one with only Arial fonts in it and it worked fine. Does this fit with your suggestion of GhostScript not being properly installed? If so, could you give me any details that I might be able to say to my web hosts in order to ...
