trace a photo as illustrator or flash do

Hi i need to trace a photo into vector as illustrator or flash do but i want to use php or objective-C i don't know how to do, is it possible using ImageMagick? could you help me or suggest me any snippets could help me??? thank you

IM doesn't contain good tools for vectorising bitmaps. Inkscape is better. (And there are other tools.)
