Hangs and errors

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

Does IM ever hang? Is there a way to see if its still processing? Are there Error codes? How do you know it completed?

Like any program, this depends on how you run it. For example, it you run it as a normal command from the console, when the prompt returns you know IM has finished.
