How to remove the object of the image

Hello everyone, i want to remove the box of this image(post down) and show the original photo. The box(that remove) is set in the paint, and i don't remove, for the show the context.Is possible the remove this box?

I do not think this is possible to remove the box such that you could read the license plate. The image is jpg and the box is now part of the image pixels. It is not a separate layer that can be turned off.

You could try user snibgo's hole filling technique, but I have doubts it will make all the covered letters readable. See http://im.snibgo.com/fillholes.htm

On the other hand, if you just want a transparent hole where the black box exists, then you can use -draw "matte x,y floodfill".
