SUN raster image fails to display/convert

Running version ImageMagick 6.7.7-10 2014-03-06 Q16 a SUN raster image fails to "display" and fails to "convert" to PNG with messages

convert.im6: memory allocation failed `testing.blipmap.sun' @ error/sun.c/ReadSUNImage/482.
convert.im6: no images defined `testing.blipmap.png' @ error/convert.c/ConvertImageCommand/3044.

The SUN file can be successfully displayed/converted in other software. The SUN file can also be successfully displayed/converted in previous ImageMagick version 5.5.6 04/01/03 Q16.

It converts with no complaint for me, IM v6.9.1-0 on Windows 8.1.

Your v6.7.7 is very old. An upgrade might solve the problem.

It also fails with version 6.7.8-9 2014-06-10 Q16 on a CentOS 7 system.
The date on that version is less than one year ago.

That's the date of compilation, which is of no relevance.
