/me wonders if the version 6.9.2.0 would fix a bug of in version 6.9.0.3 ? Details are in https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=563784

Tried your command under Fedora with ImageMagick 6.9.2-8 and it ran without complaint. Post a URL to a stack trace so we can determine where the fault occurs. We also need the output of 'convert -list configure'.
