Converted Image Looking Bad (From RGB to Monochrome - TIFF)

Post by janben »

Hey Guys,

i have a Problem with Imagemagick and hope to get help here.

At first i have to say sorry for my bad english but i hope anyone understand me.

I need Imagemagick to convert Images from Color to Monochrome (Tif ands Tif).

Now i have one Problem and looking for a solution since hours.

If i convert the Image using IrfanView the Text is much better scaled as on Imagemagick, but if i look on "verify -verbose" with Imagegick i dont see any difference (beside the Chromacity).

Can anyone help me and tell me what Argument/Parameter i have to add on the CommandLine for ImageMagick to get the same Result like with IrfanView?
I am really frustrated and hope to find an expert here...
