Installation of Version 7.0.5 Doesn't Ask For Folder

The installation wizard for the Windows 64 bit DLL currently available on the website doesn't give you the option of choosing an alternate installation location (though the documentation says this is a step that you will be asked about, it never appears). Therefore it always installs to C:\Program Files\ImageMagick-7.0.5-Q16. Is there a way to remedy this?

Do a search on this forum? I seem to recall this being discussed before. Possibly dlemstra said that it was something that needed to be fixed.

Sometimes the installation process allows me to specify the directory, and sometimes it doesn't.

fmw42 - I actually did a search for "installation directory" before I posted but I did not locate the item you referenced above, although that is my exact issue.

snibgo - this is an issue as it is preventing me from using your tools because I can't move the installation directory. It's all very frustrating.

It shouldn't stop you running the scripts, if IM's files are in the installation directory, and that directory is on the system path.

I will try to reproduce this in a couple weeks. I missed snibgo his last response in the other topic. Would be really helpful if we could figure out how we can reproduce the issue.

Sorry, I don't know how to reproduce the issue. Sometimes I can give the directory, but often it doesn't allow me to.

I wonder if it is related to upgrading instead of a clean install. Will give it some tries in a vm next week.
