This is really bizarre - all three images I tried must have come from the same site - none of them worked even though the url is correct; I tried several others from various sites and they are working fine. Very sorry for the trouble and thank you for inspecting.

Sounds like a corrupt image in some way. If you want to post one of those images to some free image hosting service and put the URL here, I can try to check it. Also tell me what you tried to do. Did it fail when loading the image or on some other processing step?
