TIFF (Jpeg) to JPEG container without recompression

TIFF (Jpeg) to JPEG container without recompression

Hello,
I have searched the forum but wasn't successful finding a solution to this one.

I have several TIFF files (*.tif) that are compressed using JPEG. I would like to convert them to *.jpg but without recompressing them. Is it possible to preserve the JPEG data from the *.tif file and store it in a *.jpg container?

Thanks for any tips!

IM will always decompress, then re-compress. Some other tool may do what you want.
