Not something I've done a lot with - but Josh has one of the most in-depth sites with all sorts of tutorials on working with glitter in a variety of ways. The first one here is what I think you're looking for.

i tried it and this is what i get

When you clicked on out put & got the thumbnail version - did you click on that to take it to a separate screen or save the thumbnail version? You need to take it to a separate screen - then save that one.
