Application transferred too few scanlines ReadImage

Sounds like you are running out of memory so the JPEG delegate library bails. You can try setting the resource limits so ImageMagick caches its pixels to disk leaving more memory available to the JPEG delegate library. See http://magick.imagemagick.org/script/architecture.php for a discussion of the pixel cache and resource limits.
