I did not know JPG image format can handle multiple 'alpha channels'
Actually I didn't think a normal JPEG could handle ANY alpha channel at all, let alone 4 extra ones.
JPG2000 might, but I do not know what support their is for it in IM.
Im could technically handle such a situation if it supports it.

So what does IM give you when you read a TIFF file containing 4 alpa masks?
Do you have an example of the image for us to try?

I'd say their is little interest in this aspect of TIFF images.
You could look at the TIFF handling source to see if it is even posible.
