Layered TIFF File Lags

I’m experiencing huge lag times on layered tiff files generated from Adobe Photoshop CS2. I’ve tested ImageMagick v6.2.7-7, v6.3.0-0, and v6.3.4-2 on Mac OS X v10.4.9. The only version I can get to perform is ImageMagick-6.2.2-1. I’m using the TIFF-3.8.2 delegate.
