Hi,
I'm trying to execute the following command:
D:\MOGRIFY_TEST>mogrify IMG_9117.JPG -gravity South -background white -splice 0x38 output.JPG
I get the following error:
mogrify: unrecognized option `-splice'.
What is the correct way of doing it?
Basically, I'm trying to execute a command that works in "convert"
D:\MOGRIFY_TEST>convert IMG_9117.JPG -gravity South -background white -splice 0x38 output.JPG
I want this to work with mogrify (because I'm using an application that only allows me to use mogrify).
Appreciate your help on this.
How do I use -splice option in Mogrify

Re: How do I use -splice option in Mogrify
I am not an expert, but I suspect that mogrify is too old for some of the new IM commands such as -splice. I think the only way to do it is to use convert.
But I will defer to the experts.

Re: How do I use -splice option in Mogrify
Morgrify is normally limited to non-layer type operations. That is you can not do multiple image combining operations list -fx -layers -composite (except to this is -draw which defines the second image in a 'out-of-band' way.
However -splice is a very old (well new when IM v6 came out), and as such is not a multiple image operator. It should be available in mogrify.
As such I would say... Its a bug. report it in the bugs forum.
