Hello,
Is there an easy way to download the "Examples of ImageMagick Usage"[1] document? I would like to be able to read it offline.
Thanks for the excellent program and documentation.
regards,
Mike

Re: Documentation Download: Examples of ImageMagick Usage
The best way is to open each page from Anthony's Examples (http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/) and save them from your browser as PDF.
On the Mac there is a built-in Save As PDF under the Print option.
On Windows, you would need to download and install any of the free PDF writers, such as CutePDF (http://www.cutepdf.com/). Then you would choose it as your Printer and do the same - print to pdf using CutePDF.

Re: Documentation Download: Examples of ImageMagick Usage
fmw42, thanks. I did try using my browser to save some of the pages. This worked OK, but it did not preserve the hyperlinks in a working fashion.
I had some success using wget (with some tuned command-line options) to make a local copy of Anthony's documentation (/Usage/). I am going to upload the files to a free file hosting service so that others may download it. Of course, it's best to use the online version whenever possible (as it will be most up-to-date and functional), but if anyone has a need for an offline version of it (as of m09-d03-y08):

If for some reason ImageMagick or Anthony would prefer I not make these files available in this manner, please reply and I will remove the download.

Re: Documentation Download: Examples of ImageMagick Usage
I don't mind a copy being made like this. However
1/ there is a CGI script handling the command line option reference back to the 'command-line-option documentation. It is a straight forward link, so that "..../option_link.cgi?negate" points to
http://www.imagemagick.org/script/comma ... hp?#negate
It does it this way as I once had to change all those links when the web site changed offical domains.
2/ It will also go out of date very quickly as I am always updating and improving or adding new parts to IM Examples. Recent changes are in the General Image Distortion operator -distort, and the new Canvas coloring operator -spares-color. Both of which are still expanding and improving.
