I'm using ImageMagick on my web page. I'm very happy with the quality of the scaling but something happens to the colors of photo. I'm using Photoshop CS3 to convert my Canon DSLR RAW-files to jpg and photos look colorful on my screen. When I upload full size photo to my page, ImageMagick scales it down for web use, and at that point something happens.
My command is like this: "convert photo.jpg -resize 800x800 -quality 85 small_photo.jpg"
I't seems like ImageMagick won't use embed ICC-profile on JPG. Does anyone have a solution to this proplem?
I'm losing colors on downscale - Skin looks grey
Re: I'm losing colors on downscale - Skin looks grey
I spend some time with this issue and found out that there is a proplem with "Adobe RGB (1998)" profile. Photos are scaled nicely with sRGB profile. Is there a way to use Adobe RGB (1998) in ImageMagick because I'm not the only one who sends photos to this gallery and others may have same problems.
