Composite -stereo not working anymore

Hi everyone. Casual user of ImageMagick here. But, in the past I was able to do a composite - stereo 2.gif 1.gif out.gif and the output would be out.gif. Recently this quit working for me. I get: composite: missing an image filename 'out.gif' @ composite.c/CompositeImageCommand/1566

Am I doing something wrong that this would no longer work for me? I am using the windows binaries ImageMagick 6.4.8 2008-12-27 Q16

Try this command:

• composite -stereo 0 2.gif 1.gif out.gif
