Hi All,
I'm new to IM. I've installed 6.4.8-Q16 on Win XP SP-2. I want to convert some .ppm images to a .mpg movie.
When I try
convert doodad*.ppm doodad.mpg
it thinks for several seconds, then it coughs this blurb from ffmpeg...:
FFmpeg version SVN-r15394, Copyright (c) 2000-2008 Fabrice Bellard, et al.

libswscale 0. 6. 1 / 0. 6. 1
libpostproc 51. 2. 0 / 51. 2. 0
built on Sep 24 2008 15:49:57, gcc: 4.2.4 (TDM-1 for MinGW)
...and a zero-length .mpg file is created.
IM is able to make an animated .gif just fine, using the command:
convert doodad*.ppm doodad.gif
I think I'm insulting the heck out of ffmpeg, so it only gives its name, rank and serial number.
Any ideas?
Thanks for anyone reading this, or especially answering!

Can't make mpg in windows
Re: Can't make mpg in windows
We are working on the problem. Stand by for a resolution within a day or two.
Re: Can't make mpg in windows
What was the fix? I would to be able to do the same thing.
Re: Can't make mpg in windows
The fix was that they fixed IM, and I downloaded the updated version. My command line above worked then.
