Hello:
I'm trying to install ImageMagick 6.4.9 Q16 (dynamic) on my Windows XP SP3 desktop. I'm using the binary version which does the install automatically. Everything seems to unzip and install ok, but when I do the convert test as suggested after the install, I get the following error message:
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000fd). Click on Ok to terminate the application.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing with no effect.
As mentioned, I'm ruiing XP SP3 and .NET 3.5 SP1.
Can anyone help please?!
Thanks!

Problems installing ImageMagick for Windows: Convert.exe
Re: Problems installing ImageMagick for Windows: Convert.exe
These two options should fix the problem. Try downloading / installing ImageMagick 6.5.0. If the problem persists, install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package. See http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... 02B2AF5FC2.
Re: Problems installing ImageMagick for Windows: Convert.exe
Thanks for the quick response! It worked. Once I installed v6.5.0, the application installed without a problem.
I had installed MS Visual C++ previously so I'm not sure if it was a combination of the two or just the new install. Either way, no problems now.
Thanks!
