problem creating thumbnail from pdf

hi there,

i'm having problems creating thumbnails from some pdfs using the following command :

-thumbnail 200x200 "C:\Copy\ODR\IP DEMOSET\Nemo\placeholder\2. Meetings\EC Meetings\2008\Work Meeting August 2008\Minutes PL392 Work Meeting 20 August 2008.pdf[0]" "C:\Copy\ODR\IP DEMOSET\Nemo\placeholder\2. Meetings\EC Meetings\2008\Work Meeting August 2008\Minutes PL392 Work Meeting 20 August 2008_thumb.png"

this command works with most other pdfs that i throw at it but not these. i get an "error reading a content stream" error. the pdfs open no problem with Adobe Reader 7. I'm using the convert command of version 6.4.4-Q16 of Image Magick.

any ideas ? i can provide a copy of the PDF if necessary ...

The conversion worked for us. We're using ImageMagick 6.5.5-5, the current release, and Ghostscript 8.70. We suspect you may need to upgrade your version of Ghostscript.

hi there,

i'm still having issues with the file conversion.

i have upgraded imagemagick to version 6.5.5 and ghostscript to version 8.64 (i can't see any trace of version 8.70 ?) and i'm still getting an error.

The error you received is in Ghostscript, not ImageMagick. Keep looking for Ghostscript 8.70 since we have shown it renders your PDF without complaint.
