pasting an image on top of another image

Post by thosecars82 »

Hello
I would appreciate if anyone could tell me how I could paste a small image on top of a bigger image so that in the end I just had an image as the result. I am thinking of a Corel draw image on top of which I would like to paste a jpg image.

I just saw this
http://www.imagemagick.org/api/composite.php
and thought it might help me with what I want but I have not seen how to accomplish it yet. Am I right?
Thanks
Bonzo

Whats the extension of a Corel draw image ?
Supported image types are here and it does not look like Corel draw is one of them so you would need to save it as a different format: http://www.imagemagick.org/script/formats.php
