text-only image?

Post by junkrig »

Is ImageMagick an appropriate tool to create a text-only image? My web page content management application requires that I use an image file for my logo, and I need that image to be text. I have an .png image up there now, created in Gimp, but I don't seem to be able to insert a registered trademark symbol in there and my group's parent organization requires that we have one on their name. For a clearer picture see http://kcsps.org
Thanks

Yes you can create a text only image; what do you want and how were you going to do it e.g. Linux, windows, php etc?

If you want to stick with Gimp just copy and paste this into the text box ®

see http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/text/ for many ways to create an image containing text. Watermarks can also be added by image compositing. see http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/compose/#watermark

as a beginner with IM, see all the links/pages at http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/ that contain many many examples.
