Lightroom wont recognise IM as a plugin

Post by RAW RAW RAW »

Hi, I am new to this. I have just installed Lightroom 3 and ImageMagick. Lightroom does not recognize ImageMagick as a plugin from the EXPORT function. Has anyone else had this problem, can someone help please.

All I want to do is add a background Matt/Boarder around some of my images for printing.

Cheers, RAW

Sorry I cannot help. But you don't need lightroom. You can use IM by itself to add a border.

There are some good reading for beginners with IM. See

http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/crop/#border
and
http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/basics/#mogrify

and in general
http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/
http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/reference.html
http://www.imagemagick.org/script/comma ... ptions.php
http://www.imagemagick.org/script/comma ... -tools.php
http://www.imagemagick.org/script/comma ... essing.php

For lightroom issues, you probably should contact the lightroom people.

P.S. Don't you also need the LR/Mogrify plugin to use IM (mogrify) with Lightroom?
