mogrify & nef resize error

Can anyone explain this:

H:\Imma\1971_TEST>mogrify -path smallsize -resize "1000x^>" -rotate "90^<" *
Magick: no encode delegate for this image format `smallsize\_DSC1125.NEF' @ error/constitute.c/WriteImage/1188.

the starting folder contains some test files, .tiff .jpg .nef
all but .nef are resized and rotate, the message appears when batch is over, however resized .nef appears first in smallsize folder with 0 size.
...And google does not have anything useful...

try specifying the full path to your subdirectory smallsize or perhaps check that it has write permissions. you may also need to specify -format with some filetype

what version of IM are you using?


This seemed to work for me with my images in directory Zeld1 and Zeld2 created empty to hold the results of mogrify


cd Zeld1
mogrify -path /Users/fred/Zeld2 -resize "100x^>" -rotate "90^<" *

Are nef files supported; try running:

Code: Select all

convert -list Format

Try working on a nef file on its own to make sure it is nothing else in you command or another file corrupted which is prventing the nef file from converting.

The NEF file format is readable only, not writable (it is actually a external delegate command for read only)
