From when on no Windows 2000 support?

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

From when on no Windows 2000 support?

Post by Qniemiec »

Hi there,
from when on ImageMagick has dropped Windows 2000 support? As far as I read in the forum some guys successfully used IM 6.3.9 on a Win2k computer, and later on somebody else (Pete_II) reported that he couldn't run a later version of IM (6.6.4.9) on a Win2k system, and the site admin answered him that this version hasn't been compiled on a Win2k server, so he can't say anything about the reason. Hence I checked the entire changelog to find if any of the developpers left a trace or respective note, but didn't find. But for users with older Windows versions it would be usefull to know which IM version was the last for given Windows version. The only thing I found is that all IM version above 5.4.4 (?) don't work anymore with Win98/ME, but many download sites (e.g. http://www.heise.de) still claim that current IM works with all Windows version from Win2k and above. Any help?
Regards, Qniemiec
