The rehabilitation of gamma

Post by NicolasRobidoux »

Charles Poynton (http://www.poynton.com) has put out no-nonsense documents of interest to anyone who cares about image and video processing. This morning, I discovered another of his gems: http://www.poynton.com/papers/IST_SPIE_9801/index.html.
His Gamma FAQ and Colour FAQ are fantastic starting points on the topics.
P.S. ... anyone who cares and is not turned off by technical discussions.

This is a very interesting topic to me; I've always wanted to read about linearity and how it applies to signals and the processing of them. :)
