Version: ImageMagick 6.8.2-3 2013-02-03 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org
OS: Linux 3.7.5-1-ARCH
Action: run convert a.gif a.pdf
Bug: When viewing the PDF, image does not display; message:
"Syntax Warning: Bad Indexed color space (lookup table)
Syntax Error: Bad image parameters"
This happens in zathura 0.2.2 with (plugin) pdf-poppler (0.2.2) and in GNOME Document Viewer 3.6.1 (evince).
In Version: ImageMagick 6.8.1-9 2013-01-15 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org
there is no problem: since 6.8.2 I've found the bug.

Re: convert *.gif .pdf - cannot view image in PDF
In IM 6.8.2, converting from GIF to PDF can create a bad PDF.
The bug seems to be fixed in 6.8.3.
