I found the answer soon after i plugged this forum - and lo/behold your answer still came ringing true as always - "see the documentation online" - thnaks for making your stuff VERY (and SOOO much so) accessible by all!
got it working and i'm GEEKED!
Truly, it combines php and imagemagick to make about 400 lines of code to do a very good (i believe) placement of kerning text images... using imagemagick as the backbone
hopefully wanting to make another slick app using the same/similar technology as my other website.
