using '-annotate' with '-gravity' - geometry issue.

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

Annotating Images, Text Position with gravity...
http://imagemagick.org/Usage/annotating/#text_gravity

Note you can always convert text into a label image and then overlay that!!!!

However at the moment gravity and justification as linked.
You are asking for them not to be linked. Or at least some way to unlink the two distinct settings. That is top-left justification with any gravity setting.

I myself have been requesting this for years (since before 2000), but have had no action on this. Sorry.
