chop with percentage size misbehaves

I have a 1000x1000 image, using "-chop 0x50%" should yield a 1000x500 image, but instead I get a 999x500 image. This bug only appears when using % with chop.

We have a patch for the problem you reported. Look for a fix in the next point release of ImageMagick. Thanks.
