If you displace a image with semi-transparency, and you use the middle mouse button to get a "Magnify 4X", then that window also contains a summery of the color selected.
However the color is the color displayed, after it was overlaid on a checkerboard pattern, and NOT the actual color in the source image (semi-transparent or fully-transparent)
that is the color values reported are the modify colors that were displayed, but the actual colors of the image being displayed! It is only correct for opaque colors.
