How do I intensify colors?

Some pictures came out kind of pale. How do I intensify the colors? I want to make it look like it is warm and sunny.
there are lots of ways and it would be better to see an example. nevertheless, try -modulate but be careful whether you want to change the saturation in HSL or HSB mode.
