Hi,

For one user and me import -window root test2.png give garbage (for me a black file except a few colums on the left corresponding to the real root windows).

But import test2.png seems to work (at least for me)

How could we help ?

We cannot reproduce this problem on our system. Post your OS, your windowing system (e.g. gnome), your ImageMagick release level, and the output of this command: xdpyinfo.

Work with upgrading X. Will try to recontact your user.
