I used a basic convert *.jpg output.pdf command to convert images to a single pdf and it works good, but it takes a very long time to do even 10 images and I have a lot more to convert. I ran out of swap memory and was forced to reboot or wait an indeterminate amount of time to regain control over the computer doing over 100 jpgs (about 120mb worth). I waited 5 min trying to kill the process and eventually just rebooted.

I'm just wondering, is there a way to speed it up? By lowering the quality or something. I wouldn't mind sacrificing some image quality for some speed for this particular conversion.
