Trouble getting Ghostscript to install - failed dependencies

I've gotten the latest version of Imagemagick to install with no problems, but I'm trying to get Ghostscript installed to be able to work with PDF files. I was able to found a good guide for installing Ghostscript on CentOS 4 (they use 5.2, but I don't think that's the issue here). I attempted to install the RPM, but this is the error I get when I do so:

Code: Select all

error: Failed dependencies:
        libcairo.so.2 is needed by ghostscript-8.63-1.i386
        libjasper.so.1 is needed by ghostscript-8.63-1.i386
        libpng12.so.0(PNG12_0) is needed by ghostscript-8.63-1.i386
        rtld(GNU_HASH) is needed by ghostscript-8.63-1.i386
libijs.so is needed by (installed) gimp-print-4.2.7-2.i386
How would I get past that? I do have an older version of GS running on my machine (GNU Ghostscript 7.07 from 2003-05-17). I tried to uninstall it, but it wouldn't let me because of the dependencies. I'm pretty sure 8.63 is not the latest version of GS, but it was the only RPM I could find that would work on CentOS (let me know any links to the latest version). I tried the basic Imagemagick logo created PDF, then PDF to PNG conversion. The PDF created fine (and was viewable), the PNG file created without any errors, but was not viewable in any graphics programs (which is what has sparked my desire to upgrade). Any thoughts?
