convert ps to mpeg: cannot get rid of excess empty space

Hello again,
As a continuation of my previous post, there is excess empty (white) space at the bottom of the mpeg files that get generated by convert. I have tried to get rid of it using the -crop option but it still remains. This used to not be a problem with the earlier version of ImageMagick I used to have. I'm on MacOSX 10.5.8 and using Imagemagick 6.5.8-0.
