IM 6.6.0-8 Q16 Mac OSX Tiger
Display of transparent png images --- the transparent part has no checkerboard and one can see through it to whatever window is behind it.
display logo2t.png
Perhaps it might be better to have a checkerboard behind it as is currently done by using
convert logo2t.png show:
I tried
display -texture granite: logo2t.png
and
display -texture patterns:checkerboard logot2t.png
but the texture image did not show up for the background.
Also -texture no longer shows up as an option on http://www.imagemagick.org/script/display.php, but adding it as above does not cause an error or warning. It just does not add the texture.
