ImageMagick scripting developer wanted

Hello!

We are a small Croatian startup company developing web applications. We have developed a Facebook app for image personalization using ImageMagick in the core of the software to manipulate and "personalize" the images. You can find out more here: http://scriven.me with a gallery of current personalization templates and link to the actual FB app.

We require a developer to continue scripting the templates. Basically, most of the task revolves around text manipulation, but there are templates where users can upload their own images which are then incorporated into the template in some way. Most of the current templates are simple one or two "layer" tasks with simple positioning, blending and dynamic blurring.

The "job" of the developer would be to script images as very simple bash (or bat) scripts invoking convert or rarely an additional IM tool in combination. We do not require complicated scripts with lots of input data, most take only the text or input image as single parameters. These scripts would then be converted to the Python callables by us. We have all the required graphics and fonts, so the dev would only need to write the scripts.

We are not offering a permanent job position, this would be work for hire. We cannot offer full developer salaries, and would prefer if the developer is comfortable with a royalty in addition to a (smaller) fixed fee per template done.

If you are interested please contact us at info@haronmedia.com. We can send you an example script so you can see what we actually need.

Thanks!

I am not in a position to do any contract work right now, but you may be interested in licensing some of my existing bash IM scripts. See link below.

Thanks. I've seen your scripts and they're very useful per se but for the moment not quite for our case. Plus, your scripts rely a lot on custom pixel manipulations which produces great effects, but we need as little processing (cpu and time-wise) as possible. If need arises I'm sure we'll contact you for licensing. Do your scripts require licensing even if parts are used and converted to Python code?

Yes, if used for commercial purposes.
