Converting to TIF - problems in Windows

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

Converting to TIF - problems in Windows

Post by mat10243x »

I converted PNG-Files to TIF using convert xy.png xy.tif
When I try to view this tif-file with the Microsoft Office Document Imaging - program I get an error message
"One or more pages can't be viewed with Microsoft Office Document Imaging"
Also the Windows previewer can not display the file.

I can view the converted files with imdisplay. Gimp also works, but I get a message "error in calling procedure gimp-image-set-resolution" and it is using standard resolution. Therefore it might be something wrong with resolution.

Files converted with other programs work well. I can also join tif files to multi-tif with imagemagick and use them with the above mentioned programs. Only the conversion seems to not work.

Thanks for any help and ideas.

You probably should provide a link to your input image so others can review and test it.
