Ubuntu 10.10 cannot find installed ap

Ubuntu 10.10 Linux, AMD 64, computer built from good components, 8GB RAM, working beautifully. Image Magick installed from Synaptic Pkg Mgr. There was no icon and the command line couldn't find it anyplace (nor Alt+F2). A Complete Removal and new installation were done, same result.

Latest issue of "Ubuntu User" magazine featured a tutorial on Image Magick and extols it highly.

I would be happy to have it working at home, and especially hope you can make it viable for Ubuntu!! This is beneficial for the fine application as well. Thanks so much.
