Image gradient shade effects using the command line tool

Hi,

I am new to the Imagemagick. I have the image shading with gradient effect issue. I searched the imagemagick, but I can't find the solution for image shading with gradient effect (image) command. If any one find the solution. please share your knowledge with me.

It would be a good idea if you can post an example of what effect you are after.

otherwise, as Bonzo said, please explain further what you want or provide a link to an example
