I have not been able to figure out how to convert an Adobe Illustrator EPS that is saved with a TIFF (Black and White) preview to a PNG with a transparent background.

If I use the same vector based file from AI but save with a TIFF (8-bit Color) preview with Transparent option enabled, it works fine.

Is there a way to convert from the original format so all of the current files from AI do not need to be resaved with different preview options?

I am running ImageMagick 6.7.3-2 on Mac OSX Lion

same message as your other post. please provide a link to your eps file or ai file so that the PNG developer can see what might be happening

Please find another way to convey the images. Google docs
converted them all to PNG. Probably simplest would be to put
them in a tar.gz or .zip and mail it to glennrp at gmail.com

Did you get teh samples I sent via email? If so, do you have any ideas?
