As of this posting, the windows binary installers from http://imagemagick.org/download/beta/ for IM 6.8.6-9 seem to be the installers from 6.8.6-8 dated 11-Aug-2013.

That's why we call it beta. We'll have an official release sometime this week. Thanks.

Oops. I didn't realized since they were named as if they were two different versions; it's a little confusing. Sorry about that.

Update:

The released binaries on the downloads page for 6.8.6-9 are dated 11-Aug-2013 at http://www.imagemagick.org/download/binaries/ and all the ones I have tried are installing 6.8.6-8.
