resize JPEG2000

Hi all,
I have a jpeg2000 image sequence from a 4K DCP. I need to convert the images to 2K, also in jpeg2000 format, to compile a new dcp. Now I read that jpeg2000 works with resolution levels. Removing the topmost resolution level would be ideal for me. Is there any way of doing this in IM?
Otherwise, if I do a standard scale, will the resulting images be DCI compliant?
