Given the advances in TV technology, there are now some glorious (and affordable) TV's wich offer both a high dynamic range and a wide color gamut.
Those of us who dabble with HDRi images might be able to display these without having to compress the gamut and DR through tone-mapping.
Has anybody worked out how to do this, or have any pointers as to how this could be achieved? (e.g. display an .EXR type file in, say ProPhoto colour space on a UHDR TV).

Sorry, I have no constructive suggestions. I would enjoy playing with an output device that was capable of more than boring old sRGB. Modern TVs can read from SD cards or whatever, so the computer-to-TV connection wouldn't be a limiting factor.
